Grand Targhee Ski and Summer Resort

Driggs is the center of the "Sunny Side" Teton Valley.  With the majestic Grand Tetons guarding the valley to the East it provides the greatest views and unforgettable sunrises as the shadow of the Grand is cast on the valley and even better, our home.  The Tetons themselves attract rock climbers and explorers from around the world. The stark rock faces rise from amidst the plains of Jackson Hole and the Teton Valley to create an awe-inspiring view from every perspective in the area.

Driggs is centrally located between Jackson Hole, WY (a beautiful 40 minute drive through breath taking Teton pass) and West Yellowstone, Montanan (1.5 hrs).  Its great because you can quickly see both parks and even better, escape the tourist crowds.  There is no reason to leave Driggs with endless recreational opportunities, several great restaurants to choose from, the only grocery store in the valley, and other great retail and recreational rental shops.

Because the area provides unlimited access to phenomenal outdoor recreation, National Geographic recently identified Driggs as the future location for the Greater Yellowstone Geoturism Center. Driggs is also National Geographic top 10 ski towns.  In winter, skiing and snowboarding reign. Grand Targhee (15 muinutes), has 2500 acres of skiable terrain and receives an average of over 500 annual inches of light, powdery snowfall. In addition to downhill, there are countless miles of groomed cross-country skiing trails.  Snowmobiling and snowshoeing round out the winter options.

The summer time brings in the beauty of the Greater Yellowstone area.  Flly-fishing, golf, hiking, mountain biking, white water rafting, kayaking and technical climbing are available. The Tetons  and Big Hole Mountains are an endless source of activity.  The valley hosts many events -including music festivals, outdoor plays, a hot air balloon festival (July 4th), and movies at the Spud Drive-in.  If its fun, chances are it happens here!

Fishing: The Snake River, South Fork, Henrys Fork and Teton Rivers provide some of the best trout fishing in the world and Driggs sits in the middle of them all!  This region is acclaimed as one of the top dry fly fishing areas in the world.  There are several great outfitters that can handle your every need and put fish in your boat and a trip of a life time in your stories.  We highly recommend World Cast Anglers headquartered in Driggs.  Anglers, as well as Outfitters, choose Driggs as home because of its central location and the variety of water that can be fished.
